In 2010, Balarasa added a new segment, Manufacturers Representative. We represent companies products worldwide.
In 2019, Balarasa expanded into the Security Industry by bringing together a suite of products and solutions to prevent situations and help save lives.

Bonsal Glascock – Founder
Mr. Glascock was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. He has lived in Mexico, Canada, Asia and the United States of America. Mr. Glascock speaks English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
Mr. Glascock has experience in the areas of Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Support. Mr. Glascock has spent his career in technology (Tandem Computers, Cisco), construction (Bechtel) and consulting. He has managed multiple projects for customers worldwide. Mr. Glascock co-founded iMallsGlobal and Balarasa Inc. to serve the international needs and requirements of small and medium companies.
Mr. Glascock has been actively involved as a member of the Board of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona, the founding chapter. He has also been involved with Junior Achievement, Special Olympics, Phoenix Symphony, NotMyKid and the Fiesta Bowl. Mr. Glascock served on the boards of California PanAmerican Society, US Mexico Chamber of Commerce, Tandem Chile and All Saints Episcopal Day School.
Mr. Glascock has spoken at various forums regarding NAFTA. He was invited to speak at the TeleCenters Associations in Malaysia, as well as Capital Market forums in the US, LatinAmerica and Asia. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Pacific and a Masters degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California.
Steve Tornquist – Principal
Steve Tornquist is an Arizona native, born and raised in, Tucson, AZ. Steve graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Steve, along with his family, owned and operated S.A.I.S.C., Inc. (Southern Arizona Insurance Service Center, Inc., Est.1981). In 1993, Steve relocated to Phoenix to expand the company’s footprint servicing the entire state of Arizona. S.A.I.S.C., Inc. grew into the largest independent insurance salvage auto auction in the southwest.
While owning and operating the auction, Steve was an integral part of developing A.I.M.S. (Auction Information Management System) a software platform encompassing, live auction streaming, title, dispatch, transit, accounting, and inventory. S.A.I.S.C., Inc. and A.I.M.S. were sold separately in 2008 to Manheim, parent company Cox Enterprises where Steve worked as a Regional Manager for the new entity, TRA (Total Resource Auctions) until 2012.
Steve has served on the board of ASPA (American Salvage Pool Association), The Department of Arizona Motor Vehicle Advisory Committee, AVTTF (Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force), All Saints’ Episcopal Day School and Xavier College Preparatory Committees.
Chief Fred Ryan (ret) – Principal
In January of 2019, following a national decade long crusade to change the way law enforcement in America managed the protection of critical assets and cases of mental health and/or substance use disorder, Frederick Ryan retired from law enforcement.
Frederick Ryan served as a police officer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 33 years and he served as Chief of Police in Arlington, Massachusetts for 20 years. Chief Ryan served as Vice-President of the Massachusetts Major City Police Chiefs Association
from 2014 to 2019. He has received numerous professional and community awards and is well known nationally for his work around behavioral health and addiction policy. He serves as the Co-Chair of the national Police Assisted Addiction Recovery Initiative (PAARI).
Chief Ryan was among the first law enforcement leaders to implement a social media threat strategy to enhance situational awareness by analyzing the credibility and location of digital threats.
Chief Ryan holds a Masters Degree from Framingham State University in Public Administration and Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. He is a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy in Quantico, Virginia and has studied at the Law Enforcement Command Institute at Babson College. In 2013 Chief Ryan completed the State & Local Government Executive Education program at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.
Chief Ryan is an active member of the FBI National Academy Associates, an active member of the Massachusetts Major City Chiefs of Police Association, and he sits on the Executive Board of the Greater Boston Police Council.
